Day 01: Delhi
Arrive In Delhi railway station/airport Welcome to Kapil Travels And Events Our representative will meet & greet you & then transfer you to your hotel. Later proceed on a Half Day City Tour of Delhi. Visit New Delhi, which includes the main attraction like Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi
Full day sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi. Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.

Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi- Varanasi by flight
Morning after a leisurely breakfast transfer to Delhi airport to board flight to Varanasi. On arrival in Varanasi, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your pre-booked hotel. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 04: Varanasi
Morning early depart for a boat ride (at your own cost) on the Holy River Ganges viewing the sunrise and the religions rites being performed on the River bank. After breakfast leave for full day sightseeing visiting Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas and the Banaras Hindu University.

Day 05: Varanasi -Bodhgaya
Morning depart by surface for Bodhgaya (243 kms / 7 hrs drive) the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. On arrival check into the hotel. Afternoon embark on a sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya visiting Mahabodhi Temple - depicting the various phases of Buddha's journey towards enlightenment, showing different aspects of his life; Bodhgaya Archaeological Museum - houses a small collection of Buddhist sculpture from the 1st century B.C, to the 11th century A.D; Jagannath Temple close by has a four armed statue of Shiva in black stone.

Day 06: Bodhgaya- Rajgir-Nalanda-Patna
Morning depart by surface for Rajgir (70 kms / 2 hrs.) Visit the Vulture Hill, World Peace Stupa and Bamboo's Garden. Later drive to Nalanda (14 kms) and visit one of the oldest Universities of the world & International Centre of Buddhist Studies. Continue drive to Patna (145 kms / 4 hrs). Upon arrival in Patna, check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 07: Patna -Calcutta/Kolkata
Morning Patna Sahib & Patna Museum. Har Mandir Sahib - also known as Patna Sahib consecrates the place where the 10th Guru of the Sikhs Guru Gobind Singh was born in 1776; Golghar - is a large dome-like structure from where one can have a fine view of the Ganga and the surroundings of the city; Patna Museum - has a rich collection of Mauryan and Buddhist sculptures, terracotta and other interesting items of the items.

Later transfer to Patna airport to catch flight for Calcutta. Arrive Kolkata airport and you will be transferred to your hotel by our representative for an overnight stay.

Day 08: Calcutta -Darjeeling
Early morning visit the flower market on the riverbanks in Howrah. This is followed by a boat-ride on the Hooghly. Afternoon sightseeing of Calcutta seeing the Indian Museum, Victoria Memorial Hall, Mother Teresa's Home, Kali Bari and Howrah Bridge. In the evening transfer to Sealdah Railway station to board overnight Darjeeling Mail train to Darjeeling.

Day 09: Darjeeling
Morning arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. Later connect "toy train", (Train # 1D - dep. 09:00 hrs arrive Darjeeling at 15:30 hrs) for a romantic journey up the hills to Darjeeling. A favourite hill-station of the British to escape from the heat of Calcutta, Darjeeling is surrounded by tea gardens and has magnificent views of the snowy peaks of Kanchenjunga. Arrive Darjeeling and you will be transferred to your hotel by our representative.

Day 10: Darjeeling
Full Day sight seeing of Darjeeling. Visit Tiger Hills, Batasia Loop, Lloyds Botanical Garden, Dhirdham Temple, The Shrubbery etc.

Tiger Hill
Situated at an altitude of 2590 meters (8482 ft.) and 13 kms from the town, this spot has earned international fame for the magnificent view of the sunrise over "Kanchenjunga" and the great Eastern Himalayan Mountains. Even Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, is visible from here.

Batasia Loop
About 5 kms from Darjeeling, this Railway Loop is a marvelous feat of engineering. It is fascinating to watch the toy train wind its way round the loop. The War Memorial constructed in the memory of brave sons of Darjeeling who died in different action since 1947, is worth a visit. A glorious view of snowy peak and town can be seen from this place.

Lloyds Botanical Garden
A colourful garden situated just below the Market Motor Stand. It contains a representative collection of Himalayan plants, flowers, orchids etc. The green houses are well worth a visit.

Dhirdham Temple
Built in the style of Katmandu's Pashupatinath temple adds to the varied religious architectural styles of Darjeeling. It is near the railway station.

The Shrubbery
This beautiful garden is situated on the Jawahar Parbat behind Raj Bhawan. A magnificent view of Kanchenjunga Range and Singla Valley can be enjoyed from here. Later in the evening return to the hotel for breakfast.

Day 11: Darjeeling - Kalimpong
This morning after breakfast transfer to Kalimpong. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and relax for a bit. Later in the afternoon Visit the local monasteries and the flower nurseries.

Day 12: Kalimpong - Gangtok
In the morning after breakfast visit Dello Hills and Dr. Graham`s Home and a Flower Nursery. In the afternoon drive from Kalimpong to Gangtok (85 kms / 3 hrs). Upon arrival check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 13: Gangtok
This morning take sightseeing tour that will cover Rumtek Monastery, Deer Park, Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom and Enchey Monastery. The afternoon is free for you to explore Gangtok on your own.

Day 14: Gangtok
In Gangtok. For a truly unforgettable experience, visit the sacred and serene Tshangu Lake (3780 m, 12400 ft). The lake remains frozen for the greater part of the year and comes alive during May to August when rhododendrons, iris, primulas, and poppies burst into bloom on its banks.

Day 15: Gangtok- Bagdogra - Calcutta/Kolkata
Morning after a leisurely breakfast transfer to Bagdogra airport (115 kms / 4 ½ hrs) to catch flight for Calcutta. On arrival at Calcutta airport you will be transferred by our representative to your pre-booked hotel for overnight stay.

Day 16: Calcutta/Kolkata
This morning after breakfast transfer to Kolkata airport to catch flight for your onward destination with sweet and pleasant memories of your tour escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
